Supra Testnet Launches MultiVM for Cross-Chain Devs

Zug, Switzerland, November 19th, 2025, Chainwire

Supra is a vertically integrated Layer 1 blockchain. It powers MultiVM smart contract execution with native oracles, dVRF, automation, and cross-chain communication. Today, Supra announced the opening of applications for its MultiVM testnet. The announcement was shared during the keynote at Devconnect Buenos Aires, as part of Multichain Day. Jon Jones, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of Supra, shared the news during a talk about the future of Web3 and interoperability.

This launch is a big step forward for dApp builders. Supra now supports EVM developers, not just MoveVM developers. This gives builders more choice. Developers can build, test, and launch fast apps that work across many ecosystems. They do not have to give up security, liquidity, or composability. Support for SolanaVM is already in progress and is expected early next year. This will make Supra the first Layer 1 to support many virtual machines from different ecosystems.

“We built MultiVM so developers do not have to choose,” said Jones. “With Supra, teams can write smart contracts in different languages. They can run them in one fast system. They also get automation and cross-chain tools built in.”

The Supra MultiVM design lets developers write smart contracts in Solidity or Move. SolanaVM support is coming soon. Developers can also use Supra’s native tools. These include over 600 built-in Oracle price feeds, cross-chain messaging, and automation. This removes old limits that forced projects to stay only on Ethereum. Now, apps can work with many growing ecosystems.

Supra brings these environments together using shared blockspace and one execution model. This helps unlock new ideas in the multi-chain world. Supra’s goal is to become a decentralized global super computer. The team believes this kind of system must run programs written in many languages.

A key part of this system is SupraEVM. It is Supra’s own EVM-compatible execution layer. SupraEVM is built for speed and scale. It uses SupraBTM, a parallel execution engine that avoids conflicts and stays deterministic. This means faster speeds and lower delays than other EVM chains. Developers do not need to change their Solidity code.

SupraBTM has been recently tested and shown to be the fastest public parallel EVM executor so far. Tests show it beats newer EVM projects like Monad in busy DeFi tasks. It also keeps strong safety and clear final results. To prove this even more, confirms that Supra’s Co-Founder and CEO, Joshua Tobkin, announced a $1 million public bounty. Any team that beats SupraBTM by 15% or more in open tests can win the reward.

“Developers often feel stuck,” said Tobkin. “EVM builders face slow systems. Move builders cannot reach Ethereum liquidity. MultiVM breaks these walls. Our goal is to help apps reach users everywhere. SupraBTM shows we can be fast and safe at the same time.”

MultiVM on a Supra Testnet: Now Open for Applications

Supra has opened applications for a new grant program. This program is made to bring top EVM developers into the Supra ecosystem. It gives early access to the MultiVM Testnet. The testnet is built to feel like the real mainnet. Builders are invited to submit their best ideas.

Selected teams will get access to most of Supra’s full developer stack, including:

  • Full MoveVM and EVM support, with no changes needed for Solidity contracts
  • Built-in services like native oracles, deterministic verifiable randomness (dVRF), and event-driven automation, live or coming soon on SupraEVM
  • One RPC system for both Move and EVM
  • Support for tools like Hardhat, Foundry, and Supra’s own CLI and IDE
  • Future support for VM-to-VM communication and shared automation

The EVM grant program includes $250,000 in total funding. Up to 10 teams will be selected. Each team can receive up to $25,000 based on project milestones. The program supports new and creative EVM projects built on Supra.

Each chosen team will work closely with Supra’s developer relations team. Together, they will set goals, deploy smart contracts on MultiVM, and prepare for mainnet launch in early 2026.

This program follows other recent launches from Supra. One example is the DevWire Hub. This is a new developer portal with guides, tools, RPC docs, and weekly updates for builders.

Supra’s MultiVM plan also includes adding more virtual machines in the future. SolanaVM is already in development. This supports Supra’s vision of universal Web3 composability. Developers should be able to build once and reach users on any network with ease.

Accessing Supra’s MultiVM Infrastructure

Developers building fast Solidity dApps can now apply for the Supra MultiVM Testnet and grant program. The program offers early access to Supra’s infrastructure, hands-on engineering support, and funding. It is made for teams that believe in a multi-chain future. Applications are open through the official application portal.

About Supra

Supra is the first blockchain built for Automatic DeFi (AutoFi). AutoFi is a self-running financial system. It also supports crypto AI Agents. Supra is built as a vertically integrated Layer 1 blockchain. It includes fast smart contracts, native price oracles, built-in automation, and cross-chain messaging without bridges.

Supra’s full stack makes new AutoFi systems possible. These systems can earn fair, repeat income for the network over time. This helps reduce the need for inflation-based rewards. The same tools also help onchain AI Agents run DeFi tasks automatically, safely, and without human help.

Chainwire is a global press release service for the blockchain and cryptocurrency world. Unlike general PR companies that work with every industry, Chainwire focuses only on Web3. This focus helps them understand what crypto projects need and how to reach the right audience.

When a project shares news through Chainwire, the announcement does not stay on one website. It gets published across a large network of trusted crypto media outlets. This helps important updates, such as token launches, exchange listings, funding news, and partnerships, reach readers quickly. It also ensures that the right people see the news. These people include investors, traders, builders, and Web3 communities.

Chainwire stands out because it offers guaranteed coverage and global reach. It also has a strong reputation in the crypto space. They do not simply “send” a press release. They make sure it appears on respected crypto websites where people are paying attention.
